COP30 Preview

Linden Edgell, Global Sustainability Director and Ricardo Zibas talk about the challenges and discussions ahead at COP30.

This summit marks the first major global gathering following the initial Global Stocktake under the Paris Agreement. Countries are required to present revised national climate plans (known as NDCs), with a focus on implementation, inclusion, and innovation. The COP30 Presidency’s core agenda will focus on strengthening multilateral cooperation, fast-tracking the delivery of agreed climate commitments, promoting a just and inclusive transition, and placing efforts to safeguard nature and biodiversity at the center of global climate action.

ERM’s experts, as at previous COPs, will engage in discussions and interactions over three weeks to drive climate action and cooperation. The team will be focusing on value creation, helping companies reduce risks, save costs, innovate products, and open new revenue streams.
